For other day with sunrise it has thrown through a shoulder onions with arrows, took a snare and has moved in the field. There was it, went and has stopped at a spring. - And how many you will give?
- Ten fogs (the Fog - the gold coin equal to 10 silver rials).
- I will not sell.
The horseman has reached hundred fogs, but the young man disagreed. Then the horseman with irritation has told:
- All right, let will be your way! And that you all the same want?
- I wish to bring a gazelle шаханшаху and to receive the big gift.
- Be you проклят! - the horseman has muttered.
To think only! And this horseman was not who-other, as шахский везир the right hand. The son of the hunter went, went and has come to a palace. He has told to the gatekeeper and фаррашам (Фарраш - palace the servant):

Везир has entered. His son of the hunter has learnt and has become thoughtful: has understood, that business is bad. And шаханшах has addressed to везиру:
- Tell, than we will present this hunter?
Везир has answered:
- Yes there will be I a victim for you! This gazelle - the male. It would be necessary to order to result a female with the same strips and stains on a skin. Then it is possible to present the hunter somehow. After all the male in loneliness will wither from melancholy if it to get the girlfriend, - all will go absolutely in another way.
Has told шаханшах:
- And везир has not bad thought up. Go, the young man, result precisely same gazelle, but a female. Then I will remunerate you.
The son of the hunter has hung the head and with tears on eyes and bitterness in heart left a palace. Upset, it has returned home and has lain down. And its mother began to grumble:

Has entered везир. Шаханшах has joyfully told:
- Speak, везир, than we will present it?

- Yes there will be I a victim for you! It is a pity, if at шаханшаха, the owner of two gazelles with beautiful strips and stains, will not be caresses. Let the son of the hunter will bring caress then we will present to it a horse.
The shah has told:
- sQ:?S business speaks. Go, the young man, extract caress. Then there will be to you a gift.
And again the son of the hunter has left a palace with tears on eyes and insult in heart. Having come home, it did not begin to eat and at once has fallen asleep, depressed by cares. And in a dream he has seen prophet Hyzra (Xызр - the prophet helping people, appeared in a distress) which has asked it:
- Why you so will grieve, the young man?
- Yes there will be I a victim for you! To what of a word, when and so all is clear. Two days I on end went on hunting and each time caught on a gazelle. I have taken away them шаханшаху, but it has not remunerated me. Besides, he has ordered to get caress.
- Do not grieve, - the prophet answered. - tomorrow with sunrise go to a palace and tell шаханшаху: +Conducted to give me two мана peas and three мана raisin from a pantry везира. If all it take from stocks somebody another, instead of везира caress to catch it will not be possible;. Take with itself peas and raisin and, leaving city gate, start them to scatter. So go, you will not reach yet a spring in four фарсангах (Фарсанг - a linear measure equal approximately of 6 km) from a city. Sit down there and wait. Caresses will come in steams. One pair from them you also bring шаханшаху.
Early in the morning the young man has risen and has gone to a palace. He has asked two мана black peas and three мана raisin, having declared:
- All it should be given out from personal stocks везира. If take from pantries somebody another to catch caress it will not be possible.
Have given it everything, that he has asked. The son of the hunter did all how ordered to it sacred Хызр. As soon as there was it gate, began to scatter peas and continued it to do, has not reached yet a spring in four фарсангах from a city. There he has fallen asleep for weariness. And when has woken up, sees - the Allah! - all steppe is covered by caresses. Everyone горошинка and a highlight at will Хызра has turned to pair ласок. They went after it, and now have crowded all in one place.
The young man has selected the best pair ласок and has returned to a city. And again at city gate it has met the same horseman - везиром the shah. That has cried:
- The young man! You have not conceded me gazelles so sell to me ласок! - I will give everything, that it is necessary for you, and I will praise you before the shahan-shah. Moreover I will advise to pay to you for gazelles expensively. And for шаханшаха you will bring other pair ласок.
The son of the hunter has disagreed, and везир has threatened:
- Better do not communicate with me, and that you will regret!
The young man has gone to a palace to шаханшаху and has given to it ласок. Has looked the shah, was surprised to fine caresses and has asked:
- Везир, than we will present this son of the hunter?
That answered:
- Yes there will be I a victim for шаханшаха, the owner of two beautiful gazelles with stains and strips and two wonderful ласок. It is a pity only, that it does not have throne from an ivory, fastened by nails from this a material.
The son of the hunter has become gloomy, has understood, that везир this will not give it life and all its works will go to waste. Шаханшах, seeing, that везир pours water on its mill, has told:
- Well, the young man, везир speaks the truth. I give to you ten days to term. You should get such throne. You will get - I will give everything that only your soul will wish. You will not get - a head from shoulders down with!
The son of the hunter sees - there is no need to go more here. Depressed, he from a palace has started wandering. Hardly it has reached the house as has fallen without memory and has fallen asleep a dead dream. It has again dreamt sacred Хызра and allow to complain. And Хызр began to console it:
- Do not grieve and do not cry. Go tomorrow morning to a palace and tell to the padishah: +If such throne what is not present at anybody on light execute is necessary to you, that I to you will tell. Order to give in my order seven hundred camels loaded with wine везира. Give under my beginning of all smiths and joiners of the country. Axes and saws let will give them gold, and to smiths the tool - silver. Let five thousand drovers will load donkeys and mules with edibles and accompany us. It is necessary to take all supplies from pantries везира. If, God forbid, will be there though on a penny of property of other person a throne from an ivory not to get;.
After that, - continued Хызр, - go to India, there and elephants are found. In one desert in India beats a key, and near to it - lake. Conducted to people to take away water from this lake and immediately to pour out there the wine brought on camels. Thus it is necessary to block the streams running into lake that wine has not mixed up with water. Elephants instead of water will get drunk fault, will get drunk and will fall without memory. Here then you also order to joiners and smiths to kill elephants and to make a throne of an ivory.
Here the son of the hunter has woken up and for pleasure could not fall asleep till the morning. It early in the morning has gone to a palace and has asked at шаханшаха everything, that ordered to it Хызр:
- Give to my order seven hundred camels, груженных wine везира, all joiners and smiths of the country with the gold and silver tool. Us should accompany five thousand muleteers and donkeys with edibles. All it should be from property везира. Then I will get a throne which wishes your majesty.
The padishah has ordered to give to the young man from treasury везира everything about what he asked. With all it the son of the hunter also has gone to far India. It went on a way specified Хызром, has not reached yet a spring and lake. Here he has ordered to take away all water from lake and to pour out there wine. Elephants, as usual, have come to lake on a watering place, but, having got drunk instead of wine water, have got drunk and have fallen замертво. Joiners and smiths have snatched on them, поубивали and have made a throne about which spoke the shah. They have then left India and have moved back to Iran.
There were they, there were also profits to capital collars. Here the young man has wholly paid off with workmen, has sold pack animals and the tool. It it has turned all into money, and to itself has left only ten camels to ship on them this money. Then the young man has released all workmen, having left only two hundred persons to inform a throne. It has sent money to mother, and itself with workmen who bore a throne on shoulders, has gone to a palace.
- The son of the hunter with a throne which you ordered to get has returned, - have reported on the padishah.
The shah was delighted and has told везиру:
- Meet him, enter it into a palace with all honours. All who was in a palace, - court, grandees and везиры - left to meet the son of the hunter. The young man has entered a throne hall in shine and magnificence, and behind it have brought a throne and have established it in a hall. The shah has sat on it and has asked везира:
- Than we will remunerate this hunter? Has kissed везир the earth and has answered:
- Yes there will be I a victim for шаханшаха, centres of the Universe, the owner of pair spotty and striped gazelles, steams ласок and a throne from an ivory, fastened by the same nails! It is a pity only, that single шаханшах on the daughter of the tsar пери. If this hunter could bring for the shah the daughter of the tsar пери any award would be small. If it cannot it let all will go to waste. After all if delivers it here the daughter of the tsar пери you will become the padishah over all people and genies. The padishah in a shower has approved these words: +To what at me good везир! It only also is occupied by that, that thinks of my greatness and power;. And to the son of the hunter has told:
- In ten days you should deliver me the daughter of the tsar пери. And then you will become mine везиром the right hand.
And this time the young man has come back home with tears on eyes, with bitterness in heart. From a grief it has not touched almost meal and has soon fallen asleep. And in a dream has seen sacred Хызра and began to cry.
- Well, the sonny, and this time about what of tear? - Has addressed to it Хызр.
He has answered:
- About the prophet! To what of a word, when all and so it is clear?
- Do not grieve, - has told Хызр, - tomorrow you will go to the padishah and you will tell: +Ten days a little. Give term in forty days;. As there will be you for city gate and will go on steppe, there will be to you a person with чоуганом (Чоуган - a stick sort. It is used at game in поло, extended in Iran) in one hand and a ball - in another. It beats чоуганом on a ball, the ball slides on steppe, and the person catches up with it and again catches. This person will offer you friendship. Take it in companions and go further. You will pass a little and you will see the aged man who costs on one foot, and on a shoulder holds the whole rock. It too will go together with you. Then you will approach to the river in width in two фарсанга. Hardly far away its channel is narrowed also all water leaves in the earth through a narrow aperture. Ask to block the old man a rock the river in this place. Then from an aperture in which the river left, two ants will creep out and also will join you. Ants will start to talk to you and will give you a bunch of hair.
Then you will reach a city. Its inhabitants starve because of one person who devours all flour on mills. Take away also it with itself. And only after that you will arrive to a city where there lives the daughter of the tsar пери. To you will give five commissions. You will execute all of them by means of the companions and will achieve the objective.
The son of the hunter has woken up and till the morning could not fall asleep for pleasure. And early has in the morning gone to a palace. The padishah has prolonged term about forty days, and the young man promised, that as soon as there will pass these forty days, it will bring the daughter of the tsar пери. Instead of will bring - so a head from shoulders down with.
The son of the hunter has gone to a way. There was it in steppe, sees - and the truth - sits on the earth the man, having stretched long-predlinnye feet, and holds in one hand a ball, and in another - чоуган. It beats чоуганом on a ball, then runs behind it on other edge of desert and has time to pick up this ball. The son of the hunter has approached, welcomed it:
- Дружище, whether you wish to be my companion?
- Why is not present? Have gone.
Two of them have gone and have met the aged man. That stood on one foot and held a rock on a shoulder. The young man has approached to it, welcomed it and has offered:
- The father, whether you wish to be my companion?
- Why is not present?
Three of them and so have approached to the river have moved. See: the big, wide river, and leaves in a narrow aperture. The son of the hunter has offered:
- The father! Throw e a rock in this river and turn water in desert. The aged man has dumped in an aperture a rock from a shoulder, and water has begun to flow in desert. And two ants have crept out of an aperture. They have started talking:
- About the son of the hunter, салам алейкум!
The young man has answered a greeting, and ants have given it a bunch of hair and have told:
- If to you it will be difficult - burn one hair, and we immediately are.
They have gone further and have come to any city. See: all people there pale and thin, on anybody are not present the person. Travellers to the first comer have addressed and have asked:
- Why inhabitants of this city such pale and exhausted? And that answers:
- Here there was any person. He devours all food that appeared in a city. It is necessary to grind on a mill grain - it here as here! And will pinch language all flour directly from a millstone.
- Show me this person! - the young man has asked. It has taken away it with itself(himself), and four of them have gone. There were they, went and at last have arrived to a city where there lived the daughter of the tsar пери.
The young man has looked and sees: at city gate some pyramids from human skulls rise. He has asked:
- Why these pyramids are combined from skulls?
To it have answered:
- Already thousand young men asked in marriage to the daughter of the tsar пери. The girl gives them some commissions and speaks: +I will marry the one who will manage them to execute. Instead of will execute - so I order to chop off a head and to lay in a pyramid;.
The son of the hunter said: +Yes the Allah will help us; - and has entered into a city. Having arrived to a palace of the girl, it has asked of the permission to enter. When have entered it, the girl has told:
- About the young man! Unless it is not a pity to you to the youth! After all you have taken a dangerous way! Whether you know, behind what business have come? Unless did not see the pyramids combined from skulls?
The young man has answered:
- Yes there will be I a victim for you! Saw I pyramids and know, where have come. I was to ask in marriage you for the Iranian shah and to take away.
- Will not be so, - the girl answered, - you will return with what!

And fourth my order - result the person who will eat for night of one thousand four hundred rams, one thousand flat cakes and one thousand манов boiled fig.
The son of the hunter has thought a little and has answered:
- Well, it will be made.
Then they have taken seat and began to talk. There has passed a part of night, and the young man has told:
- And you have written the letter to the shah of Iran? And that I wish it to send and receive the answer for you.
The girl took калам (Калам - a reed feather to which wrote before in Iran), has made the letter to the Iranian shah and has given to the young man, it has in turn given to its person with чоуганом and has told:
- Favourite my friend! I ask you, return with the answer till a dawn.
The girl ordered to mix in the meantime on one thousand манов wheat, barley and millet in one granary. Then she has addressed to the young man:
- Till the morning wheat, barley and millet need to be separated from each other and to fall asleep in separate granaries.
- Well, it will be made, - the son of the hunter has answered.
And the girl has immediately caused the main cook and has ordered:
- This minute to fry one thousand four hundred rams and to weld in oil one thousand манов rice! To hold all it on call!
The son of the hunter has at the very same time burnt one hair from this a bunch that ants have given to it. Also what? Before it and the truth there were two ants and welcomed it. The young man has begged:
- My friends! Time has not enough, and has put it is a lot of. Till the morning it is necessary to separate from each other wheat, barley and millet and to fall asleep in different granaries.
- These are trifles! - ants have answered. - what for so to hurry up? Here works of all on an hour.
They have immediately called all ants of those places, and to hour has not passed, as wheat, barley and millet have been separated from each other.
Here to the imperial daughter the cook has entered and has reported:
- Everything, that you have ordered, is ready.
The girl to the hunter has turned back:
- The mister! Your person let will come and will eat all foods. There was a young man and has resulted the person, forced to starve the whole city. He has set him, speaking:
- About Али! Sit down, eat.
And that has destroyed everything, that only has been prepared. The young man and the girl meanwhile pleasantly spent time behind conversation and wine. Suddenly from kitchen loud shouts were distributed. The girl has asked the main cook:
- Hey, the uncle, what there happens? That has bowed and has answered:
- The surprising person! It has gobbled up everything, that we have welded, and still asks. He swears, that has not gorged on.
The girl has told:
- I swear the Allah, you have won, the son of the hunter!
The young man foreknew it, but he wanted, that the imperial daughter was convinced by eyes in everything, and they together have gone on kitchen.
They had not time to return to rooms of the girl as the messenger sent to the shah of Iran was with the answer. The girl knew handwriting of the Iranian shah and as soon as has opened the letter, recognised his hand. And the young man has offered it:
- Let's go, we will look now, that became with wheat, barley and millet.
They have come, see, that wheat, barley and millet lay in separate granaries as that was demanded by the imperial daughter.
There was a fortress which should be destroyed till the morning. But the young man even has asked that person with a rock on a shoulder in the evening to take down a fortress. And itself pleasantly spent time behind wine and conversation. And here he has chosen minute and has offered:
- Let's look, that with a fortress.
There were they a city and have walked. Suddenly see: the person who should destroy a fortress, sleeps a dead dream and snores so, that in heavens is audible. The young man of the old man has parted forcibly, that has jumped, has looked round on the parties and has gone to a fortress. It has hooked its shoulder, has lifted on two hundred elbows and has rejected on полфарсанга. The terrible roar was distributed, on ten фарсангов around the earth has reeled. All thought, that there was an earthquake.
Having seen such turn of business, the imperial daughter has touched a shoulder of the young man and has exclaimed:
- Praise to you, you are worthy all blessings!
They have returned to a city and have spent the whole week behind wine and conversation. A week later the young man has ordered to gather to Iran. The rich and majestic caravan has set out.
When to capital there was one transition, шаханшаху Iran have informed:
- The son of the hunter approaches at the head of a rich caravan. Prepare for a meeting.
The padishah has ordered to all везирам and court to meet the son of the hunter and the daughter of the tsar пери. The young man and the imperial daughter have solemnly entered capital. The whole week celebrated their arrival. Then the shah has caused везира and has asked:
- This son of the hunter has executed many my commissions. How it is necessary to award it?
Везир has answered:
- If шаханшах, the owner of pair fine gazelles, steams ласок, a throne from an ivory, taken as wife the daughter of the tsar пери, - if such sovereign knows something will not be on the earth equal to it on greatness and power.
The padishah has again asked:
- And what it for "something" which I should know? Везир, not long thinking, said in the answer:
- You, of course, know, that везиром its majesties of your father were my father. And if the Allah, glory to it, through this young man has arranged other our affairs, not badly to us the nobility, how are in the next world its majesty, your late father, and my father. This son of the hunter should bring from a next world the letter that they there do. And after that conducted to decorate a city and to celebrate the wedding with the daughter of the tsar пери.
The padishah sees: all right he has thought up. After all it is quite good to receive a message from the late father. He has addressed to the son of the hunter and speaks:
- Well, the young man, везир speaks business. It is necessary to bring to the shortest term from a next world of the letter from my father and his father. Or at least only from my father.
The son of the hunter after some meditation has answered:
- That's good! Tomorrow I will bring messages from them. And now I will go to prepare for travel on a next world.
The young man home has returned in the evening and was engaged in preparations in a difficult way by means of sacred Хызра. He began to complain mothers of the share:
- The glory to the Allah, at me is now all. But, alas, at this credulous shah - artful везир. It all time harms to me, continually invents new intrigues.
And he has told mothers about all from the beginning up to the end: about a striped and spotty gazelle, about caress, about a throne from an ivory, about the daughter of the tsar пери - also has added:
- And now he such from me demands, what not under force to any person. Has thought up, that I have brought letters from their fathers from a next world.
Mother has kept silent, has thought, and has then told:
- Oh, the sonny! If you grant this desire, he will think up something new. You are better something think up!
The son has laid down in bed, only was to it not to a dream. After long meditations he has decided to get rid of the shah and it везира. Has risen; it in the morning, has gone to a palace and has asked:
- Order to carry ten days fire wood on one thousand camels and to put them behind city collars.
The padishah has agreed and ordered, that one thousand camels of ten days carried fire wood. For the tenth day by the evening the young man ordered to result all carpenters of the country. Carpenters were and under instructions of the son of the hunter have erected on fire wood a throne. The young man was to the shah and has told:
- Цусть all soldiers and grandees leave for city gate. Have executed it. Together with court and an army were
Musicians and singers. Then the son of the hunter has addressed to the shah:
- Your majesty, you need together with везиром to rise on a throne and to sit down there together. There I also will bring letters of your fathers.
The padishah and везир have risen upward, have sat down on a throne. The son of the hunter has risen behind them and has asked the shah:
- Order to singers and musicians to play and sing, and to soldiers and grandees to drink wine for health of your majesty. Soon there will arrive the letter.
The padishah under instructions of the young man has enjoined:
- Singers and musicians! Play and sing. Soldiers and grandees! Drink wine.
Here the son of the hunter has gone down downwards and ordered, that wood mountain подпалили from four parties. The shah and везир have burnt down in a flame and have left to the parents.
And the son of the hunter has gone to a palace and has sat on шахский a throne. He has ordered to decorate seven days a city, and has then celebrated a wedding with the daughter of the tsar пери. It became one of the best tsars of the world as has tested vicissitudes of life, has tasted both heat, and a cold. Yes our expectations will be executed the same as desires of the son of the hunter were granted!
