There was it or was not, there lived once one shah with the daughter. In total for it was available much, but her mother has died, and consequently the girl was always sad and sad. The rose very much was pleasant to it, and it has followed it on coast of the river in search of such place where it would manage to seize a flower. Not thinking about what, she followed a yellow rose some hours. The rose floated on water, and the princess followed it on coast. At last, she has noticed, that the sun tends to the West, and it has strongly left from camp, its tents, the slaves and servants.
+About a grief! - she has thought. - that I have done? At the dark night, one in desert, what I will do? Where to go? Where I will be rescued from wild animals?; While she so reflected, has absolutely darkened, and in the sky замерцали stars. The girl has looked on the parties and has seen a tree. It has approached to it and has climbed up upward. There was a moonlight night, and in desert became cool. The girl among branches as has heard a hand bell ring on a neck of the mule and footfall of a horse has not had time to be arranged more conveniently still. The tent of the prince has appeared just under that tree on which the girl sat. This prince had such custom: after the last намаза (Намаз - the prayer made by Moslems five times a day: in the morning, on sunrise; at midday; hour for two to a sunset; in the evening, at once after a sunset a little, and before a dream) he dozed, and when woke up, sat down a supper. After a supper he two-three talked of hour to friends, then went to bed and rose early in the morning.
When this evening the prince has dozed off, стольник has brought in a tent a tray with a supper and has left, that the prince has eaten, when will wake up. The girl observed from above of everything, that occurred. Only she was convinced that стольник, having prepared all for a supper, has left, it has gone down downwards, has to satiety eaten плова with a sauce, has drunk a water-ice and has again climbed up a tree. After half an hour the prince has woken up and has seen, that someone touched its supper. He has become angry and has called the servant and стольника:
- Who touched my supper? - He has asked them.
- We do not know, - they have answered.
It has caused all servants, but they have sworn, that anybody from them by a supper did not touch. The prince more has told nothing, has had supper and after an hour has fallen asleep. In the morning it have asked permissions to move further, but he has answered:
- Here it is pleasant to me, we will stay here even two-three days. When evening, in a tent, as well as the day before has come, have brought a supper. Again the girl has gone down downwards, has eaten half of supper and has again got on a tree.
The prince has abused the servants, but they swore, that know nothing. For the third night the prince has thought: +Is not present to a smoke without fire;, - and has laid down in bed. However he only pretended to be sleeping. Стольник has brought a supper and has left. Suddenly the prince has seen, that any girl, fine as a sun beam, has gone down from a tree, has come into a tent and without ceremony was accepted to meal. When it has terminated is and wished to leave a tent, the prince has seized it by a hand and has asked:
- Who you such also what here do?
The girl has told to the prince the history. It very much was pleasant to the prince, and he about itself(himself) has solved: +If it will be possible to take away it with itself for me it will be better than any wife who wishes to take for me mother;. He has tenderly told to the girl:
- You have no need to rise on a tree, remain here with me in a tent.
They had a talk, have shared with each other the sorrows and grieves while it not wanted to them to sleep. The prince has taken out the sword and has put it in the middle of bed; on one party the girl, and on another - the prince has laid down. So they have lived day two-three. But the girl rose in the mornings very much late. Once the prince has informed it:
- Tomorrow we very much early will leave from here. Rise before. Early in the morning the prince has woken up, sees - the girl sleeps. It did not begin to awake her, and has ordered to one of the servants:
- Go and break to steppes a bouquet of yellow roses.
The servant has dug colours and has brought to the prince. The prince showered with yellow roses the girl, has put to it under a head a sword and has pinned a note: +When we left, you slept, we did not wish you to awake. But if you want me to see, put on iron shoes, take a steel staff and wander, yet you will not find me;. In the end of a note he has written a love poem. The young man has gone to a way, has passed considerable distance, and the girl still slept. She has woken up shortly before midday and has seen, that there was one. She has read a note, has heaved a deep sigh and has bitten a lip. The girl did not know, that to it to do, as suddenly has in the distance noticed any shepherd with herd. The girl has called to him and has told:
- For your shepherd's cap and a woollen raincoat I will give you this tent with gold top.
- Well, goes, - the shepherd has agreed.
The girl has put on its cap, has tied up a sword under a raincoat and has gone to a way. The only thing, that she could think up, it to go on traces of the prince. How many it had to transfer to ways of difficulties, how many a hardship before it has reached cities where there lived the prince! Everything, that it was necessary to test Рустему and Эсфендиару (Рустем and Эсфендиар - characters of the heroic epos +Шахнаме; (the book of tsars) greatest ancient poet Firdousi), made seven feats, the same the girl has gone through also. On wished to pass through gate, but the watchman has detained her.
- The young man! - it has stopped it (as on it there were shepherd's clothes the watchman has accepted it for the man), - the shah has ordered not to let in a city of strangers. Is better will be, if you leave on that road on what has come.

And here in the shepherd's cap and a raincoat the girl has entered into a city. Long she wandered on streets, hoping to meet the son of the shah, but it was not possible to it. It has already lost any hope and wished to return, as suddenly, passing somehow by a bath, she has seen built before doors феррашей (Ферраш - the horse or pedestrian guard; the servant for services in the house and for solemn exits), есаулов and guard which passed nobody to a bath. With sticks in hands they dispersed the people.
She has quietly asked one person:
- Why they so are amused?
That has answered:
- After all today the son of the shah will wash in a bath before wedding.
The girl also was delighted and afflicted. She was delighted to that, at last, will see the prince, and was afflicted, having heard about its wedding. While she reflected, shouts феррашей were distributed: +Stand aside, stand aside!; - and before дверьми baths have stopped a stretcher. On a stretcher the prince sat. To the right of it the son of one vizier went top, at the left - the son of other vizier, and the group of horsemen behind caracoled. The people have rushed forward to look at procession. The girl (it still was in the shepherd's clothes) with the big work протолкалась forward and has looked to the prince in eyes. The prince too has glanced in her eyes. Then she began to read loudly that poem which he has written it in a note.
Having heard a poem and having considered attentively the shepherd, the prince has understood, that it and is that girl. He has immediately disposed, that have stopped a stretcher and have planted in them the shepherd. Those who surrounded the prince, have taken offence and have told to it:
- Whom it you to us have planted?
- Do not pay attention to its kind and clothes. All it is very important, then you will understand.
And contrary to all the prince has brought the shepherd to a palace.
- Whom it you have dragged with yourself? - Has asked mother when has seen the shepherd. - really does not remain people better, what you took such? Unless you do not see, what we are occupied by preparations for wedding? You have brought any beggar and have only displeased the vizier and other ministers of your father!

For other evening when wedding should take place, mother of the prince has come to it and has warned:
- Today you should release this shepherd.
- No, - the prince has answered, - take away it in a garden and there at pool spread for it carpets: let he will have a rest.
Mother has very much become angry:
- It is beauty! You still order to me! Tomorrow we should arrange here a palace for all blind and bald cities!
Having heard it, the girl was afflicted. It has gone down on a palace ladder in a garden to pool, has taken off from itself under a willow tree the shepherd's cap and a raincoat and has rejected them aside. Then has taken from knot the dress, its plot, has rouged, набелилась and has unstitched to itself a stomach a sword of the prince. Blood has scattered a fountain from a wound.
At this time in a palace have connected hands of the prince and its bride and have planted their number in a hall. On heart at the prince it became suddenly very restless. It has not sustained, has left the bride and has escaped in a garden. At the sight of the beloved it, not deliberating, the same sword has unstitched to itself(himself) a stomach and without feelings has fallen near to it.
The bride looks: the groom left in a garden and till now does not come back. It too has gone to a garden. Having seen such picture, she has cried and has fainted away. The father, mother and all inhabitants of a female half (the Female half, or a harem - a part of the Iranian house in which there live women and where the input is prohibited the extraneous man) have run together in a garden and, having found there the prince, the girl and the bride who has lost consciousness, very much were surprised: this girl whence undertook and what it for misfortune has fallen down their heads?! From amazement they could not utter and words, as suddenly on that willow under which the prince and the girl laid, заворковали two pigeons.
One said:
- The sister!
Another has answered:
- Yes, washing the darling!

After forty days after wedding the girl has asked of the permission to visit the father of whom it has become bored.
- In it there is nothing bad, - the prince has approved.
With magnificent ceremonies all have gone to a way. Not reaching to a city, the wife of the prince has stopped and has sent to the father the letter. In the letter she has in detail written about the adventures.
After disappearance of the daughter the shah long, but unsuccessfully searched for it and is sad dragged the days. As this letter has suddenly come. The shah was delighted and with all viziers and notable people of the area has left towards to the daughter. With magnificent ceremonies they have entered them into a city and forty days accepted, as honourable and expensive visitors.
The shah was very happy: praise to the Allah, his daughter at last has found pleasure! As it did not have a son it has appointed the prince the successor.
There have passed some years. Both shahs have died, and the prince began to operate both areas, having united under one power two countries.
